Joe Hawke – What He Did.

Today we did a research for a Maori person and I had to do Joe Hawke. Joseph Parata Hohepa Hawke is his full name. He is renowned for his leadership of the 1977–1978 Bastion Point occupation. He also supported respected leader and close friend Dame Whina Cooper on the 1975 Māori Land March. In 1977, Hawke became the very first claimant to be heard by the Waitangi tribunal. In December 2021, Hawke was bestowed with an honorary Doctor of Law (LLD) degree from Auckland University – Waipapa Taumata Rau. He died on 22 May 2022, aged 82 and was buried at Takaparawhau. facts and whakatauki                         Here is a photo of him.

Tech – Tiaki

On Thursday I go to tech at Te Aratai collage. I go with Tk to woodwork we made a spatula and we are going a make a box first we ruled out spatula then we cut it with a saw. Then we drew a semi circle at the small end. We used a sander to make it smooth. Other people go to digitech, plastics, sewing, cooking and robotics. The most difficult subject for me is sewing. Do you enjoy technology? this is a picture of me doing it\/

GET WI$E

Get wise is a financial literacy program for students it is sponsored by AsB. He is trying to help save money because the people who made the brand are making ads, putting it on social media and are friends tell me or someone. I learnt I’m not the only one that spends there money fast. I enjoyed the game would you rather this or that. he was yapping all day long he was so annoying. I would like to learn about different currency. Do you like to learn about money$.

Action Station Softball

I think softball was fun and bad at the same time because we were inside for half of it and we were outside for the over half of it. I learnt not to pass the ball to Noah Baxter because his going to throw it over the fence or over his teammates and he will make them get home. It was great to play softball and laugh because Noah keep throwing it at the fence and over the fence, roof. what I found challenging whose trying to catch the ball off Noah. was playing stuck in the mud. yeah I would play softball if I we can?

peer pressure

What is peer pressure? Peer pressure is someone making someone do something they don’t want to do but they are getting forced. Or something that is positive not something that is negative. Ft (stealing lollies/shoplifting, wearing cloths that are not part of the schools dress code). Although an example of good peer pressure is cleaning the beach, helping the homeless, also helping someone get a friend or become a friend of him/her. Don’t be a bad person.
